Wednesday Night Community Feb. 28

Middle School
Middle School students will be meeting in the Upper Level Youth Room and will go through NUA. This is a Right Now Media series and the leaders guide and videos are available here: https://app.rightnowmedia.org/en/content/details/265320. Here is the session one summary: Both science and faith seem to suggest that the universe began at a precise moment in time. If this is true, something caused everything to begin—and this powerful creative force must be beyond the universe itself. Contrary to popular belief, having a faith does not mean you have to ignore science. Science helps us understand how and when the universe came to be. Faith is about exploring who created it and why. As far as we know, we are the only creatures on earth asking why we are here. Is our desire for meaning a clue to who we really are? Maybe we are here by chance—or maybe we were created for a purpose.
High School
High School students will meet in the lower level youth room (behind the welcome desk) at 6:30 p.m. and are on week four of a nine-week spiritual reality series called GOSPEL Journey Maui. This video-based series is all about real questions and real conversations. Seven young strangers with very different spiritual worldviews and a Preacher/Wannabe-Surfer hung out for a week in Maui, diving into life’s biggest questions: Is there a higher power? What is the purpose of life? What happens after we die? And more... Ultimately it boiled down to this: Can everyone be right? Each episode follows the cast on their journey to discover the truth. Sunday Morning March 3
We are continuing on through The Thread series. This week we will be covering The Rise and Fall of Solomon you can find a parent letter linked here. Please use the handout to walk through some questions with your student after the lesson.
I Spy Easter - OSM Volunteer Opportunity
March 8, 2024, TIMES VARY BASED ON ACTIVITY
Oakwood Kids Ministry will be hosting I Spy Easter, an event for families with toddlers – 5th graders. Oakwood Student Ministry will have the opportunity to serve the kids and families in these events. There are many opportunities to serve including set up, clean up, running a station, or various other activities. Volunteer opportunities can also be found here.
